Pre-MRI preparation
Generally, no special preparation is required for performing MRI scans without injections. After the completion of examinations and undergoing an MRI, individuals can carry out their normal activities. However, if a sedative has been used during the tests, the individual should wait for a while until the effects of these medications wear off. If a contrast agent has been used during the test, the patient should drink a significant amount of water after the examination so that the contrast material can be eliminated from the body.
